A series of lectures – “Closer to Science”

Another series of lectures “Closer to Science” will be held until May 30th.

The meetings are designed for science enthusiasts. They take place twice a month, on Tuesdays [different hour – 18.00, previously 17.00], at the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Computer Science of the Jagiellonian University in Cracow, at Łojasiewicza 11. Participation is free.

 

Schedule of the lectures:

  • 11 April - "On friction at the nanometric scale". - dr hab. Bartosz Such, prof. UJ,
  • 25 April - "The amazing world of nanotechnology". - Prof. Franciszek Krok,
  • 16 May - "Pretzels made of electrons". - dr hab. Wojciech Brzezicki,
  • 30 May - "Friendly nuclear physics". - Prof. Andrzej Magiera.

All lectures will be presented on the Faculty’s YouTube channel.
