"Refugees in Cracow" is a project originally carried out by students from the Chair for Translation Studies of the Jagiellonian University: Katarzyna Dulowska, Natalia Ferens, Wiktoria Hercog and Olha Tuchapska, under the supervision of Katarzyna Liber-Kwiecińska, PhD. The aim of the project was to create a website where refugees from Ukraine could find up-to-date information that would make their lives easier in their new residence. The project is currently funded by the Doskonały Uniwersytet – zintegrowany program rozwoju UJ of the Jagiellonian University. The aim of the programme is to create (translation from Polish, editing, IT support for adaptation for a mobile app) a website in Ukrainian and English. The website provides comprehensive information about the university through the Ukrainian-language version of some parts the Jagiellonian University Portal. It also provides additional information about academic life in the cultural context of a Polish university with the aim of integrating the refugees with the university.

You can find local news, practical advice, information on legal and psychological assistance, translation services and Polish language learning, administrative procedures, health care and social assistance for refugees.
