Free legal aid

Jagiellonian University Students' Legal Aid

Jagiellonian University Students' Legal Aid provides free legal advice to people arriving from Ukraine. In order to benefit from the assistance, you should fill in an information form and sign a consent form for the processing of personal data. This can be done at the Counselling Centre, where the students will help you fill in the documents. Completed forms can also be sent via e-mail or post.

Places of advice provided by the "Open Kraków" Program

  1. Information Point for Foreigners in Kraków. Migrant Info Point Krk 

The Information Point for Foreigners operates in Kraków at the Multicultural Centre and legal advice is also provided there. You should visit the Centre or contact the staff via phone or e-mail to get help.

Visiting the Centre

Lawyers provide legal advice in person:

  • on Mondays from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Zustricz Foundation's office at ul. Karmelicka 34/100, in English and Russian (see the map)
  • on Tuesdays between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. at the office at al. Daszyńskiego 22, in English, Russian and French (see the map)

Mobile contact

The Point's staff provide information about migrants' rights via phone from Monday to Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at +48 887 201 598 in Polish, English, Ukrainian and Russian. Interpretation assistance is available for those who do not speak the aforementioned languages.

  1. Legal Aid Centre   

You can receive free legal advice during the opening hours of the Multicultural Centre and The Halina Nieć Legal Aid Centre. Legal advisors from the Regional Chamber of Legal Advisors and attorneys from the Regional Bar Council are on duty at ul. Daszyńskiego 19 in the room of the Krakow Senior Citizens' Council (see the map) from Monday to Friday between 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm with the assistance of Ukrainian interpreters. In order to ensure an efficient process of appointment taking, the staff asks for prior sign-ups for times of visits at: +48 887 201 598 or +48 887 202 701

 

  1. The Interkulturalni PL Association

The Interkulturalni PL Association provides free legal assistance via telephone from Monday to Friday, from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Legal advisor Dr. Adam Bulandra, a specialist in immigration law, is available at 601 866 602, in Polish and English. If you would like to receive advice in Ukrainian or Russian, please make an appointment by calling +48 691 632 685 or sending an e-mail to: biuro@interkulturalni.pl.

  1.  The Halina Nieć Legal Aid Centre

Legal advice concerning international protection and refugee status is available at the Halina Nieć Legal Aid Centre. Consultations are held from Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Centre's office at ul. Krowoderska 11/7 (see the map) or via telephone: +48 693 390 502. The advisors speak Ukrainian, Russian and English.
