How to get and use the Mobile Kraków City Card
To get the Card, go to: https://ekp.mpk.krakow.pl/auth/login and create an account. When using a mobile phone or a tablet, download the mKKM app.
Enter your personal details (DANE OSOBOWE): name, surname, and the date of birth (IMIĘ, NAZWISKO, DATA URODZENIA). If you don’t have the PESEL number, tick the box “I don’t have PESEL” (NIE POSIADAM PESEL).
Next, enter your email address and repeat it.
The last step here is entering and repeating the password (HASŁO).

After you successfully created your account, visit your “User’s account” (KONTO UŻYTKOWNIKA), go to “Edit your profile” (EDYCJA DANYCH) and add your picture (adding your picture is obligatory to buy the card).

The picture of your face needs to be taken in good light, in front of a fair background, with no hat or head covering and no sunglasses. The face should take ca. 2/3 of the picture. /-/

Next, go to „buy mobile ticket” (KUP BILET MOBILNY). Here you can buy a full fare season ticket (N - NORMALNY) or a reduced price season ticket (U – ULGOWY; season ticket is, in other words, a city travel pass for the city trams and buses) for the period of 1 month, 2 months or 3 months.
Next select the season ticket type.
You can get the ticket for 1 line only or for all lines. There are also 3 Tariff Zones (STREFY - Zone I is the area of the city of Kraków, Zones II and III are outside of the city, but within the metropolitan area of Kraków. The zone borders (GRANICA TARYFOWA) are marked on the timetables. Prices differ accordingly.
So, your options to buy your season ticket are as follows:
1 LINE (JEDNA LINIA) – TARIFF ZONE I (STREFA I) - works for 1 tram/bus line within Zone I.
ALL LINES (WSZYSTKIE LINIE), TARIFF ZONE I (STREFA I) – works for all buses and trams within Zone I.
You can buy season tickets accordingly for all Tariff Zones (see the box with ticket types above).
At the bottom you define the date your season ticket starts to be active (AKTYWNY OD).
You can also create an account using the app called “Mobilna Karta KKM” (Mobile Kraków City Card, mKKM). You sign up the very same way as for the website (described above) – you enter your personal and contact details and your password.
Once you have created your account, you can log in with your email and password. In the app you can see the main sections:
- “tickets” (BILETY) – here you can see your tickets;
- “my mKKM” (my Mobile Kraków City Card, MOJA MKKM) with your mobile Kraków City Card, name, surname, the client number and your picture;
- “the status of the Kraków Resident Card” (STATUS KARTY KRAKOWSKIEJ; a special card for the residents of the city who pay taxes there; this card offers discounts etc.);
- “buses/trams at a given stop” (ODJAZDY Z PRZYSTANKÓW) – here you can check which buses or trams you get at a particular stop (you select the bus or tram option and enter the stop name, with suggestions coming as you enter the stop name).
The “tickets” section is where you can buy your season ticket (KUP BILET) or check the validity of the season ticket you already have.
The “buses/trams at a given stop” section offers the bus or tram departure times from a particular stop. Select buses or trams and then enter the stop name (you get the name suggestions as you enter the name of the stop) to see the timetable for this stop.
