The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) offers the Ukrainian refugees PLN 710 for the first and PLN 610 for every other member of the family (up to a maximum of four family members) over a period of three months. It is independent of any other financial support package offered in Poland.
Those Ukrainian citizens who arrived in Poland on or after 24th February are entitled to receive the support. Those who would like to apply for it should book an appointment between 8am and 4pm at the registration centre located in the TAURON Arena in Krakow (see map). More details can be found on the UNHCR website.
Appointment details are confirmed in advance via a text message. Claim details are also confirmed with a text message that includes a unique BLIK number and the claim amount. After one month, the beneficiary will receive another text message with another BLIK number. The process will continue for at least 3 months.
